Day by Day
First and foremost, this article is for myself, but I’ve chosen to publish it for you all to benefit from, as we are joined together on the Path to Greatness.
Oh beloved, take it day by day.
Hour by hour.
Minute by minute.
Concentrate on each day as if it were your last.
Make each day your best day.
Make it better than yesterday.
Oh beloved, it’s time you take your dreams seriously.
Haven't you heard from the greats of history, that achieving greatness and self-alchemy is done through consistency? It is achieved through the constant cultivation of your soul; to be able to always observe yourself, and question whether or not your actions are aligned with the version of yourself you are striving to manifest.
The truth is, oh beloved, you already have your greatest version inside you. That's why it is called a "version".
So cultivate it. Hack at it like a lumberjack working all night under the graceful watch of the stars, as he cuts down each tree to let the world benefit from it's wood. It must be understood that when you work each day and night to fashion and hack at each part of your soul, you make it stronger, more durable, and greater each time. Like the pieces of wood, each part of your personality will be a benefitting factor to yourself and the world.
Like wood, be warmth to your home and others in the bitter cold of winter. Like wood, be protection from the elements and sinners as the wall of a house. Like wood, be a table, a chair, a cabinet, for everyone to benefit from and live with.
In other words, my beloved, manifest the greatest version of yourself to make the world a better, more prosperous abode. You are one in eight billion people on this planet, and one in trillions of living creatures on this planet.
You shall be a leader each day of your life. You shall help a family member in need, a struggling neighbor in depression, and a world desperate for true leadership.
Whether or not you want to be one of the greatest leaders of the world, if you truly improve yourself, there is no way out of leadership. Examples such as Benjamin Franklin, Mother Teresa, Billie Jean King, Roger Federer, show us that when you strive to perfect yourself, you are seen by the world as a leader. You become someone with immense influence and prestige.
As you already know immensely well, greatness is not one leap from "Zero to Hero". It is little steps of improvement every single day. Some days will be harder than others, but as Revered Martin Luther King Jr. once proclaimed, "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward." There is no other way.
Oh beloved, one final piece of advice before I let you roam the earth once again. Be confident in your path, and treat every action you commit as being great. Hold yourself up high as the greats do. But in your soul, your hearts of hearts, know that you are from the same flesh and blood as the most lowly dwellers of this noble earth. You can slip anytime of the day. You can sin and commit the worst actions ever imaginable. We all have evil inside, no matter how much good we omit from our souls. So be confident, yet humble.
Strive for greatness each day, each hour, and each minute. But know your mortal flaws, and be humbled by them.
“Whoever humbles himself by a degree for God, glory be to Him, God will raise him by a degree. Whoever is arrogant to God by a degree, God will lower him by a degree until he is made ‘the lowest of the low.’” - Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
